Mo: The Best Show on Television

"MO" on Netflix (short for Mohammed)

I have zero hope for this country but the idea that Netflix is airing this show, and it’s a hit, gives me some.

It’s about Palestinians, Latinos, refugees in general, the nakba, Israel’s treatment of Palestinians since 1947, love and life! It’s hilarious and sad. And it feels like it was made this week. READ ABOUT IT HERE.

I imagine most of you have been watching this since 2022 when it first aired. But I didn’t hear about it until this week when Jon Stewart (a Jew like me who is smart on Palestine and Israel) interviewed Mo Amer, the creator and star of the show.

Amazing. All praise to Netflix. They somehow got this masterpiece past the Israel lobby!

And Mo Amer is absolutely brilliant. He’s destined for greatness. Actually, he’s already achieved it.
